Bill Takes the Plunge

Designers often talk about the importance of white space – well, a Sydney Festival installation by SNARKITECTURE takes it to another level. They have taken an urban space – The Cutaway, at Barangaroo Reserve and filled it with 1 million white balls, transforming it into THE BEACH an interactive monochromatic art installation. Complete with all white deck chairs, umbrellas, pontoons, inflatable beach paraphenalia and a beach patrol. Each day visitors like Bill take the plunge into an ocean of white. Each day adding their own mix of colour and movement to the white space.

Here are some pictures from Bill’s afternoon at The Beach, playing in white space.
